This page explains TankWise behavior for customers. It does not replace the Google Play Data safety form or Apple App Privacy answers, which must be completed inside the store portals against the final production build.
Stored on the device
The following information can be stored in private local app storage and is not transmitted to a TankWise aquarium server:
- Tank names, size, setup, biotope, and settings
- Water readings and aquarium notes
- Fish, invertebrate, plant, stocking, and comparison records
- Tank, progress, note, and receipt images
- Local preferences and Unlimited Tanks entitlement state
Android cloud and device-transfer backup are disabled in the current release.
Optional connections
Online species lookup
Entered fish or plant search text is sent over HTTPS to third-party reference sites when you request a lookup. The query can be received with IP address and user agent.
App-store billing
The applicable store processes payment. TankWise receives product, purchase, entitlement, and verification information, not card details.
Aquarium data cloud
The current app has no TankWise login or aquarium cloud sync. Tank profiles, readings, livestock, plants, and images remain on the device.
Beta and support storage
Launch-interest requests, beta applications, feedback, and support tickets are stored in the website's native hosted database for access updates, tester selection, coordination, and review or response. Beta applications, feedback, and support tickets are also mirrored to a private Simply Submerged Aquatics Google Workspace spreadsheet. Google Workspace sends submission receipts and beta or support owner notifications through a private delivery queue used for retries. The forms do not accept uploads, and submissions are reviewed through protected owner tools.
